Wood Processing Lead Hand – Lumber Cut Room Production

Since 1999, Oxford Pallet & Recyclers Ltd. has been a stable and growing manufacturer serving customers across Ontario. Operating from a 54,000 sq. ft. facility in Norwich, we specialize in pallet manufacturing, recycling, and custom wood packaging.

We are currently seeking a Wood Processing Lead Hand for our Lumber Cut Room to oversee daily production operations and support our pallet and bin/crate manufacturing teams.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading daily operations in the lumber cut room production area

• Ensuring lumber is cut accurately and efficiently to required specifications

• Maintaining production flow to support pallet and crate assembly teams

• Supervising cut room employees to ensure productivity and quality standards

• Enforcing safety procedures and PPE requirements

• Ensuring employees are trained on saws and equipment

• Monitoring equipment condition and reporting maintenance issues

• Ensuring saw blades are maintained and replaced as needed

• Managing inventory of re-saw blades and notifying management when supplies are low

• Ensuring machine pre-start inspections are completed

• Maintaining clean, organized work areas and end-of-shift cleanup

• Supporting a professional, respectful, and safety-first work environment

• Hours 6:30 am to 4pm + overtime as required.

What You Bring

• Experience in wood processing, pallet manufacturing, saw operations, or similar production environments

• Previous lead hand, supervisor, or team leadership experience preferred

• Strong understanding of shop safety and machine operation

• Ability to manage workflow and maintain production targets

• Mechanical awareness and ability to identify equipment issues

• Strong communication and leadership skills

• Reliable, organized, and able to hold team members accountable
