THE POSITION : TRANSPORTATION LOGISTICS & DISPATCH - MANAGER
Work Hours : 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (Monday–Friday)
TRANSPORTATION :
-
Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the logistics, dispatch, and commercial trucking fleet for Oxford Pallet & Recyclers Ltd. and divisions.

Adhere to and know operations policies and standards, including safety procedures for the handling of Ontario Commercial Trucking, and ensure compliance with transport regulations.

Create and implement controls, policies and procedures for customer orders.
-
Oversee incoming orders (emails/calls), ensuring accuracy and delivery satisfaction.

Collaborate with operations, sales, and leadership to establish precise needs for customers and schedule deliveries, pick-ups, and trailer switches accordingly.

Manage, schedule, organize and monitor truck and trailer maintenance and fleet preventive maintenance program.
-
Oversee, monitor and manage commercial truck licensing and ensure compliance documentation is accurate and up to date.

Schedule quarterly commercial trucking compliance meetings,

Monitor and oversee the logistics dispatch team daily, train, supervise and lead a team of dispatchers.

Resolve and master issues that arise quickly and confidently.

Develop weekly pick-ups, deliveries, and trailer switches based on orders, operational needs and weekly targets.

Coordinate all in-bound and out-bound cross boarder shipments.

Cooperate with Human Resources in the onboarding of commercial truck drivers.
DISPATCH & LOGISTICS :
-
Oversee and coordinate timely pick-ups, deliveries, Trailer switches, third-party trucking, and American Trucking documents.

Track fleet of commercial vehicles, trailers and heavy equipment.

Track on site pickups, deliveries, third party contractors while on site.
-
Leverage telematics data from ELD software to optimize fleet efficiency.

Manage and oversee shipping/receiving relating to dispatch and logistics.

REQUIRMENTS :

MUST HAVE : Strong computer literacy, Excel, Outlook, Data Input

REQUIRED : Previous exposure to a manufacturing and dispatch environment

MUST HAVE : Dispatch, Logistics and Transportation knowledge and experience
-
3 to 5 years of experience fleet compliance, logistics and dispatch sector

THE POSITION : LICENSED 310T TECHNION

Work Hours : 6 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (Monday - Friday) Occasionally : Saturdays

Conduct regular repairs, preventive maintenance, and safety inspections.

Complete Work-Orders : Documenting, repairs, maintenance and damage
-
Maintain 5 Straight Trucks and 18 Highway Trucks
-
Maintain 13 Pick-up trucks.

Maintain 270 Dry Van Trailers
-
Maintain 7 Walking Floor Training
-
Maintain 3 Grinders
-
Inspecting, diagnosing and repairing tractor-trailers; braking systems, transmissions, wheels, axles, etc

Performing regular fleet maintenance on company trucks
-
Utilizing diagnostics equipment to isolate operating problems and repair faults
-
On Call – Mobile Service Repairs

Must Have : Valid 310T( Truck & Couch Technician ).

Must Have : Reliable Transportation.

Must Have : Strong problem solving skills.

Strong knowledge of diesel engines and experience with troubleshooting and preventative maintenance
